Shop Small, Celebrate Big: 4th Annual Holiday Arts Market at The Mill District

Amherst, MA – Get ready to kick off the holiday season in style at The Mill District General Store & Local Art Gallery’s 4th Annual Holiday Arts Market on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 from 12pm-4pm (rain date: November 3rd, 2024). This event promises a fantastic day of community, creativity, and local shopping, showcasing over 40 makers and crafters from Amherst and surrounding areas.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a talented group of artists and makers to this year’s market,” said Shannon Borrell, Gallery Coordinator. “It’s a perfect opportunity for the community to come together and support local creators, find unique holiday gifts, and experience the incredible craftsmanship from our region. There’s truly something for everyone.”

From fine art, jewelry, and clothing to pottery, candles, toys, and more, attendees can explore an incredible range of handmade goods, making this market the perfect place to shop small for the holidays. Skip the mall and discover one-of-a-kind gifts in a welcoming, festive atmosphere. In addition to shopping, the event will feature live entertainment, including gourmet s’mores roasting with Provisions, magic by local magician Fran Ferry, and live jazz piano from Avi Steinhardt. For those looking for a fun keepsake, caricatures by The Art of Adam Wyss will be available for purchase throughout the day.

“This year’s event is not just about shopping, but also about connecting with the community in a meaningful way,” said Molly Crookes, Store Manager. “We’re proud to partner with the Amherst Survival Center to host a collection tent, where attendees can donate new games, books, and winter items to families in need. It’s a way to give back and make the holidays brighter for local families.”

The market will take place at 91 Cowls Road, Amherst, MA, with accessible parking and bathrooms available on-site. Bring your family, enjoy the festivities, and shop local to support the artists and makers in your community!
