Job Description
The Mill District General Store, North Amherst’s exciting new venture, is seeking a full-time Store Manager. The Store Manager is a key member of a group collaborating to increase the reach and profile of the entire North Amherst Mill District. The Store Manager and the other General Store employees are to be that front line, friendly and welcoming experience that leaves a positive lasting impression on customers and visitors to the Mill District. The goal of the General Store is to be the hub of the Mill District, taking part in all events taking place in the Mill District. If you are outgoing, personable, an independent self-starter and have retail management experience, we’re just what you are looking for!!

The Job Responsibilities of the Store Manager include, but are not limited to:
Key Holder - Open/Close the Store, including daily balancing
Inventory Management/Maintenance – Product re-ordering, receiving shipments, purchase order creation, cycle counting, maintaining pricing levels and recommending new products to sell
Atmosphere - Generating & maintaining a fun, interactive atmosphere for customers and staff as well as assisting in event coordination and execution.
Supervision - Manage, develop and motivate our talented staff
Social Media and Content Creation-including video

The physical requirements for this position include standing for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
